John accepted Christ!
We had some exciting news this month. John put his
trust in Christ
and got saved! He has been asking for some time, but you could tell he
has just not understood until now. He would ask, we would explain what the Bible said and he
would say, "OK! Thanks!" and run off and play. This time however was
different. He went to Rick and asked him to
explain heaven and what Jesus did for him. Rick explained it to him and
you could tell the light bulb turned on... He got it and put his faith
in
Jesus. He has been a different child since. It has been amazing. He has
been a more contented
child. He is more aware of himself and attentive to others. It has been
a blessing to see the difference it has made in his life by living each
day for Christ. It has also been a blessing to see when he reads his
Bible, he accepts that is what God wants him to do and tries to apply it
as he can. He has been a living example excepting God's Word as
the faith of a child with immediate obedience and complete faith that it
right. He asked to get baptized the following Sunday. After
church service, the church we went to the Irish Sea and he got
baptized. It was COLD! He got startled when he felt how cold the water was and took a mouthful
of salty water! I was afraid it would damper the experience for him,
but he was relatively unphased and thinks it was a great experience. He even found
a piece of sea glass on the shore. He took it home and drew a blue
cross on it to commemorate his baptism. Now, every time someone mentions the sea, he adds "it's yucky,
salty, I know!" |
